Well, the start to a new day almost brings feelings of warmth and joy. Those rays of sunlight are trying to squeeze out behind the dense formations of water, but to no avail.
I've never attempted to write a blog before, but I don't think there's a bad time to start. Yes, its true, some of the more grotesque and peculiar formations of words and sentences have been put together in these types of forums, but to be honest, nothing can be deemed inappropriate when we have meth addicts frolicking around Disney, lying to thousands of young, moldable children every week. Our world is just as perfectly chaotic as it is sane.
The real reason for this blog (I really do hate that word-maybe time to reinvent) is the discussion of online journalism, new journalism, new media, what have you. Our world is changing, rapidly, and whether or not our tiny brains can comprehend such an extensive and speedy transformation, it will come, it has come, it is here. To stay-no one can say for sure, but it is the immediate future, the present, and the recent past.

Introduction Exquisite
2 pm, Sunday morning, January 20. Nothing to do today or tomorrow-Thank you MLK. The forecast calls for rain, but it's not coming down yet. We'll just have to wait and see.
A little bit about myself-my name is Joshua William Newman. I am six months away from legally having a drink, which, if I may interject, is seemingly absurd considering the actual alcohol intake on a weekly basis. That sounds so typical for a college student to say. Is everyone at this age really this fucking similar. It's pathetic almost. Anyway, I am a journalism and economics major at the University of Miami. Now you may ask yourself "where the hell do these two come together," and the only comforting thing I can tell myself is, well, they don't... at least at the moment.
